Swimrun Workshop
This workshop is aimed at newcomers to the wonderful sport of swimrun. We'll cover everything to help you feel confident & competent for the swimrun season in our comprehensive sessions including:
- Swimrun wetsuits
- Use of hand paddles & pull buoys
- Transition training
- Race strategy
- Efficient gear management & compulsory kit
- Shoes, socks & foot care
- Reading the course and the conditions
- Racing with a partner - team mentality
- Swimming/running with a tow system
- Sighting techniques
- Solo v Team
- Insider tips for specific races
- Race nutrition
- Kit modification
We'll also complete a short swimrun route with several transitions to help practice and consolidate what you have learnt. We will move together at a sociable pace.
The swim sections won't be long, the focus is more on the swim to run, and run to swim transitions.
There will be opportunities to do longer swims and runs outside of the session hours.

With our expert knowledge of the area, we have a lot of flexibility in the length of swims/runs we do, this can be adjusted based on the group and the conditions.
Excellent prep for Tal Y Llyn SWIMRUN and Dyfi SWIMRUN.
Camping
There is camping a minute's walk from where we'll be based at Dol Einion Campsite.

EXPERIENCE
Mike is one of the most experienced swimrun athletes in the UK. Over the last 10 years he has competed in swimrun across Europe including the OtillO World Series, and the BRECA Long Course Series. His vast array of experiences is wide, with several podium finishes. He is passionate about adventure swimming, off-road running and swimrun.
Along with team mate Paul, team WeSwimRun are the only British team to qualify via ranking points for the Swimrun World Championships 2023 (Totals: 60km run, 10km swim).
