A stunning Ultra Marathon along coast, trail, mountain, river and forest in south Snowdonia taking in 15 peaks including the iconic ridge-line & summit of Cadair Idris.
This is a very challenging, stunning route, and is at times remote. Competent navigation is required.

MANDATORY KIT
Your usual trail running kit must include:
- GPS Live Tracker - collect at registration
- Waterproof jacket
- Spare fleece/similar
- Hat
- Survival/Thermal/Bivi bag
- Water bottle/bladder - min. 1 litre
- Race cup
- Emergency rations - min. 500 calories
- Whistle
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Map + compass + GPS watch/device
- Head torch, minimum 100 lumens (fully charged/spare batteries)
NAVIGATION
Participants are expected to be competent navigators, willing and able to use their map + compass to navigate, particularly in the event of poor visibility. Please also download the GPX file. In the event of atrocious weather we have a Plan B route fully reccied, with 2000m height gain, and a highest point of 400m.
The required map is OL23 Cadair Idris & Bala.

OPTIONAL DROP BAG
Each participant can drop off a drop bag at registration (maximum 25 litres). Your drop bag needs to be labelled with your name and race number. All drop bags will be transported to CP4 (42km), and subsequently be transported back to Race HQ.

The 6 marshalled check points & aid stations:
- CP1: 20km
- CP2: 30km
- CP3: 42km - Cut off 8hrs after race start
- CP4: 50km
- CP5: 64km
- CP6: 75km
GETTING HERE
Aberdyfi is situated on the coast at the south end of Snowdonia National Park, between Barmouth and Aberystwyth. It is less than 2 hours drive from Chester and 90 mins from Shrewsbury. LL35 0NR for your sat nav. Nearest airports are Liverpool, Manchester & Birmingham.
Aberdyfi is on the Cambrian Coast line, described by The Guardian as one of the most epic train journeys in the world. Aberdyfi station is 1 minute walk from registration. Coming from the west you will pass the old market town of Machynlleth, once the administrative capital of Wales. Further details at thetrainline.com.
