A beautiful marathon & half marathon route along coast, trail, hill, river and forest in the Dyfi valley taking in stunning views of the Dyfi estuary along the Wales Coast Path.
RESULTS
Fabulous running saw Adam Gobern win the half marathon in 2:06:08, while Darren Hesleton (2nd in 2021) took victory in the marathon with a time of 4:41:55.
Darren came close to breaking the marathon course record, however in the end both course records were unbroken.
The 2022 results have been submitted and published on the UTMB website.
The half distance is an UTMB qualifier in the 20K category
The marathon distance is an UTMB qualifier in the 50K category
AID STATIONS
Marshalled aid stations with water and electrolyte as a minimum. Approximately every 7 kms.
MANDATORY KIT
The following will be required as a minimum:
Trail running shoes
Windproof jacket
Whistle
The following may be mandatory depending on conditions:
Waterproof jacket
Waterproof trousers
Hat + gloves
Spare insulation layer (fleece/light down)

8:15am to 9:30am - Registration in Neuadd Dyfi (Village Hall)
9:45am - Race Briefing
10am - Race start
For the Marathon ONLY: Cut off for 1 lap is 2h 45m

PARKING & TOILETS
The main pay & display car park in the village has plenty of space. There is also a smaller pay & display car park next to the Neuadd Dyfi. There are public toilets by the Tourist Information Centre.
GETTING HERE
TRAIN Aberdyfi is on the Cambrian Coast line, described by The Guardian as one of the most epic train journeys in the world. Aberdyfi station is 1 minute walk from registration. You can catch the train direct from Birmingham - further details at thetrainline.com.
DRIVE Aberdyfi is situated on the coast at the south end of Snowdonia National Park, between Barmouth and Aberystwyth. It is about 2 hours drive from Chester and 90 mins from Shrewsbury. LL35 0NR for your sat nav.
