The Eliminator Swimrun is coming to Aberdyfi! A potential of 6 laps with a total of 12km of awesome swimrunning in a stunning location.

Each lap has a total of 1.3km of running and 700m of swimming.

Dyfi Biosphere
All taking place in the UNESCO Dyfi Biospshere, Dyfi X is a stunning 16.5km on the edge of Snowdonia National Park with a total of 3.3km swim, 13.2km run split across 6 swims & 7 runs.
Mandatory Kit
- A race cup/soft flask
- A whistle
- Swimrun wetsuit
- Suitable shoes
Note: The tidal nature of the estuary means that the distances may be slightly different depending on when you get to each transition. Not a significant difference.

European Qualifier
Dyfi Swimrun is a qualifier event for the European My Swimrun Championships. It is the only qualifier event outside of mainland Europe. As part of this European Championship there are the following age groups.

Dyfi AQUATHLON

The longest aquathlon in the world. It's The Dyfi 13km swim, followed by a stunning 13km trail run back to Aberdyfi along the beautiful Wales Coast Path. Solo or relay team options.
The longest aquathlon in the world. It's The Dyfi 13km swim, followed by a stunning 13km trail run back to Aberdyfi along the beautiful Wales Coast Path. Solo or relay team options.
At the swim finish there will be a fully stocked aid station, and your drop bags with your running kit. Dyfi Aquathlon isn't a swimrun, it's aquathlon style so you can change at the transition. We will get your swim kit back to the finish.
The Dyfi 13km swim has helped to inspire the Dyfi swimrun course.

You are coming to visit a beautiful part of the UK and there are plenty of options to make your stay here a memorable one. The Penhelig Hotel, The Britannia Inn and The Dovey Inn offer Hotel accommodation within 5 mins walk from registration. The Treffedian Hotel is 10 mins walk away.
CAMPING/CARAVANS
Tyddyn Rhys Farm has basic camping with stunning views over Cardigan Bay, 10 mins walk to registration. Trefeddian Uchaf has two well equipped caravans, 15 mins walk from registration.

Pilot Event, 2021
The pilot event for Dyfi Swimrun saw Kez Traynor win the Solo category, whilst Portia Rees Jones & Max Hallam won the Team category (Team Name: No Room For A Mascot).
